BEFORE
Every outdoor project starts with a challenge, and this Schaumburg backyard was no exception. While the existing paver patio was structurally sound, years of weathering, an overgrown planting bed, and a lack of defined landscaping left the space feeling tired and underutilized. The homeowners wanted a cleaner, more inviting backyard without taking on the maintenance that comes with a traditional garden. Not only that, but the front entrance also needed some help. So we got to work.
LET'S GET TO WORK!
We reimagined the planting area with a simple, modern design. For the backyard patio we installed a raised garden bed, replaced the entire floor with new pavers and as a finishing touch planted some boxwood shrubs.
For the front we replaced the old bed with decorative black river rock for a low-maintenance finish, and added evergreen boxwood shrubs that provide year-round color and structure. By keeping the design minimal and intentional, both the front and back patios became new spaces the owners can now enjoy.
